Thanks to Innes Construction and their team, St. Thomas Church has been protected from further deterioration while we proceed with planning and fundraising for a full restoration.
Funding for this work was received from the Ontario First Nation Limited Partnership specifically for this purpose, as well as funding from the MRHHA, received from our three co-founding jurisdictional members, Moose Cree First Nation, MoCreebec Eeyoud Council, and the Town of Moosonee. The most significant funding, however, was received from Wakenagun Community Futures Development Corporation and IEDF-BCF Ontario program.
