Building a future with our shared past

The MRHHA, a northern Ontario non-profit indigenous organization, is dedicated to building a future rooted with the best of our shared past, with a focus on the Moose Cree homeland and its people. Supported by Moose Cree First Nation, MoCreebec Eeyoud Council, and the Town of Moosonee, our diverse association includes elders, youth, community members, artists, educators, and others passionate about our combined heritage and culture.

We operate in a spirit of Sawelihcikewin, a Cree word which means receiving with a desire to give back. This spirit of Sawelihcikewin is founded in our core Cree values of reciprocity and hospitality, values we share with the rest of Canadians. We invite you to join with us in celebrating our past and working together to build a better future.
